Organizing the Mess
Long story short: I was given a disaster. When I walked into the classroom, none of the toy or center containers were the same size, color, or shape. It drove me CRAZY; so first thing first, I got rid of everything and went to the dollar tree. I LOVE the dollar tree. Everything you could possibly imagine for organizing a classroom for the low price of one dollar. It was beautiful. My classroom currently is black on the bottom half and white on the top (another one of the things I hate). Hopefully within the next few months it will be painted orange and white. So, seeing as the complimentary color for orange is blue, everything I buy is navy blue and white. It took me hours to transfer everything from the mix matched containers to the nice, new, matching baskets. Each shelf was labeled and everything has a specific place. My kids were so excited they were shouting things about our beautiful new classroom. As long as they're happy, I'm happy. I'm finally on my way to complete organization---at least I hope.
